This is the procedure for a person applying to obtain citizenship in the UK which comes under three main categories.
From 1 January 1983 based on the British Nationality Act 1981 citizenship could be obtained in following three main categories:
- By operation of law. Citizenship under this route will be operative taking no further action.
- As an entitlement. Citizenship under this route could be obtained by taking steps of registering. The ones who are born and living in the UK for the first 10 years of their
